Job summary

The Chemours Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will report to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and lead mechanical engineering efforts across chemical process manufacturing.

You will drive maintenance improvements, monitor performance, and guide safety and process improvements. A hands-on leader with a strong background in root cause analysis is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 6–12 years in chemical manufacturing, steam/power, or military equivalent.
• Strong background in root cause failure analysis.
• Hands-on leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise and team leadership on mechanical engineering for chemical process manufacturing.
• Identifies and drives maintenance improvements—philosophies, strategies and best practices.
• Monitors product/process performance; assesses reliability and recommends solutions.
• Specifies technology parameters to ensure process delivers required quality.
• Acts as technical lead for assigned area and guides strategic decisions.
• Owns small capital projects for the site.
• Recommends and implements improvements to production processes and controls.
• Applies PSM principles to the team’s activities.
