Job summary

Fox Point Recruitment LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a manufacturing client in Graniteville, SC. You will lead mechanical projects, design and implement systems, and drive safety and reliability improvements on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5-8+ years in high-volume manufacturing mechanical engineering.
• Proven capital projects experience ($50K-$1M+).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and root-cause analysis experience.
• Strong OSHA/ANSI/NFPA safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design, develop, and implement complex mechanical systems, production equipment, and automated processes.
• Lead major capital and continuous improvement projects ranging from $50K to $1M+.
• Provide engineering input during equipment integration, startup, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Analyze equipment performance to improve safety, reliability, quality, and throughput.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver on time and within budget.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to implement permanent fixes.
