Job summary

Live Automation, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Sterling, MA team. You will own mechanical design from concept through commissioning, while managing schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships.

You will lead 3D CAD work in OnShape, create BOMs, and ensure design-for-manufacturability. Collaborate with controls, assembly, and project managers to deliver integration-ready machines, including FATs and field support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automation, custom machines, or systems integration.
• Hands-on OnShape CAD experience required; OnShape preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3D CAD design using OnShape for parts and assemblies with detailed drawings.
• Create, maintain, and manage BOMs across project lifecycle with version control.
• Apply Live Automation design standards; select materials, tolerances, fasteners, vendor specs.
