Hixson Architecture, Engineering, Interiors seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC and hydronic design for large-scale industrial and commercial projects up to $500M. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and interface with clients throughout design and execution.

The role requires a PE license, a BS degree in engineering, and 10+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, including boilers, chillers, and controls systems, within GMP environments and critical

Qualifications

• BSME/BSMET/BSAE or related degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of hands-on design experience in HVAC systems.
• Experience with boiler and chiller central plants.
• Strong understanding of HVAC controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for air handling, laboratories, ductwork, and hydronic systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Prepare and review construction documents, specs, and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Interface with clients and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Design and integrate mechanical utilities and plumbing systems.
