Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in rotordynamics, API 617, bearings, seals and couplings.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and translating theory to practice.
• Ability to perform FEA analyses (static required, non-linear a plus).
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME VIII pressure vessel design.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and defense projects is a strong plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design high-speed rotating equipment.
• Conceptualize new designs based on proven concepts and innovations.
• Evaluate products for cost efficiency, reliability and manufacturability.
• Lead mechanical designs and communicate via 2D/3D layouts and FEA.
• Document design developments and present at design reviews.
• Oversee design tradeoffs, risk mitigation, and alternate approaches.
• Ensure timely completion of design deliverables and drawings.
