Job summary

A leading engineering firm in California seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer who will lead the design and documentation of mechanical systems, guide quality assurance, and mentor team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare projects, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and P.E. licensure. This hybrid role allows for autonomy while fostering collaboration with a professional team.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the AEC Industry preferred.
• Experience in designing systems for healthcare projects is required.
• Familiar with ASHRAE 170 and FGI Guidelines is preferred.
• Healthcare Facility Design Professional Certification is a plus.
• ASSE 6060 Medical Gas Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation of large-scale mechanical systems.
• Validate and approve key mechanical engineering calculations.
• Resolve system conflicts during interdisciplinary coordination.
• Serve as the primary mechanical technical contact across project teams.
• Guide QAQC reviews for mechanical deliverables.
