Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required; FE/EIT preferred.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
• DOE experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare equipment specifications, RFQs, data sheets, and bid summaries.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers and other disciplines.
• Develop project schedules, scope, budget, staffing and construction planning.
• QA/QC and coordination with field personnel for installation, inspections and testing.
• Lead field inspections, calculations and documentation for clients.
• Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
• Build relationships with clients and pursue new business opportunities.
