Job summary

FUJIFILM North America Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical equipment and subsystems for manufacturing processes. You will specify loads, materials, tolerances, create drawings, and manage project schedules.

Responsibilities include improving uptime, mentoring technicians and engineers, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, ranging from minimum of one-year experience working in a production operations environment or equivalent Co-op/Intern experience to minimum 10 years’ experience depending upon the level.
• Working knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, statics and dynamics, heat transfer, materials science, mechanical design.
• Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, equipment, facilities and systems for manufacturing processes.
• Specify loads, materials, layouts, clearances and tolerances.
• Develop improvements reducing downtime and verify designs meet specifications.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project budgets and schedules.
• Support maintenance programs and root cause analysis.
