Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping for industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team across architecture, structure, and electrical disciplines to deliver complete facility designs.

You will perform load analyses, prepare drawings, coordinate with contractors, and contribute to construction documentation. A BS Mechanical Engineering is required with 5+ years’ building systems design; PE

Qualifications

• BSME degree required.
• 5+ years designing mechanical building systems for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Ability to obtain PE license or demonstrate interest to licensure.
• E.I.T. candidates encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with contractors and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load analysis.
• Review Test & Balance reports and ensure proper air balance and room pressurization.
• Design mechanical spaces and size/select equipment including AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans.
• Design plumbing systems and develop plumbing plans with riser diagrams.
• Design utility piping systems including compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum, and other facility utilities.
• Develop mechanical plans, schedules, equipment specs, design details, and construction docs.
• Provide input regarding mechanical scope of work and engineering fees for proposals.
• Attend client project meetings and hybrid meetings.
• Perform fieldwork and site observations to document existing conditions and update drawings.
• Collaborate with contractors to troubleshoot and resolve installation and construction issues.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to coordinate complete facility designs.
