Job summary

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied capabilities with autonomous systems, AI, and edge compute. You will join Connected Warfare to modernize command and control for U.S.

and Allied forces, turning data streams into actionable battlefield insight. You will own hardware from concept to production, work closely with a product team, and travel to exercises to gather warfighter feedback, ensuring rugged designs that perform in demanding environments.

Qualifications

  • Design, prototype, and ship hardware.
  • Demonstrated design ownership in a team.
  • Engineering first-principles competence.
  • 7+ years of professional mechanical experience.
  • CAD skills and the ability to make high quality engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
  • BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in an engineering field.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to export controls.

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware from concept generation to real world use.
  • Serve as a key part of tight-knit product team.
  • Work with customers to understand real battlefield challenges.
  • Design novel hardware for those mission sets - from the ground up.
  • Use engineering first-principles, analysis, and testing to ensure your designs will survive battlefield conditions.
  • Get hands-on to build prototypes and first articles.
  • Travel to exercises and work alongside warfighters to support and collect feedback on our products.
  • Iterate on your designs and work with our manufacturing team to build and deliver them at scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own hardware from concept generation to real world use

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to design, prototype, and ship hardware
  • Past record of design ownership in a team setting (professional or otherwise)
  • High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
  • 7+ years of professional mechanical experience
  • CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
  • BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in an engineering field
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in NX/Teamcenter
  • Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.)
  • Experience with machining, sheet metal, composites, and 3D printing
  • Knowledge of static, dynamic, or thermal analysis methods and use in ANSYS
  • Active Top Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
US Salary Range

$146,000 - $194,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
