Job summary

SNC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced mechanical systems for aerospace and defense applications in a hybrid office environment in Lone Tree, CO. You will mentor junior engineers and drive cross-functional integration across ISR, aviation, and security programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 6+ years of related experience, with strong CAD/CAE proficiency and GD&T knowledge. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required; higher degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience with advanced CAD/CAE tooling.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design teams and aerospace/defense context.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of advanced mechanical systems and components.
• Perform complex analyses and simulations to validate and optimize designs.
• Develop and oversee detailed test plans and procedures.
• Review and approve technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Review production non-conformances and develop customer solutions; participate in CCB.
