Job summary

OnlyHire.Me is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Washington, DC to lead and mentor designers, coordinate HVAC and plumbing systems, and drive project success from concept through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of mechanical/plumbing design experience, a PE license, proficiency in Revit, Trane Trace, and strong presentation and client communication skills. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $150,000 per year with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design.
• Mechanical Engineering Professional license.
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Trane Trace software.
• Strong presentation and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers.
• Develop and manage project work plans.
• Responsible for the systems selections, basis of design and quality of the work product.
• Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members.
• Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and effectively communicate with clients as needed.
• Coordination of the mechanical/plumbing design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
• Construction phase support including submittal review and RFI response.
• Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
• Assist the Mechanical Director with mechanical/plumbing work product quality control.
• Act as a senior mechanical engineering and design resource, providing assistance and guidance to project engineers and designers in both HVAC and plumbing design.
• Confer openly and directly in a respectful and professional manner with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
