Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer

This role involves designing and implementing mechanical systems, including HVAC, with consideration for budget, timelines, and resources. Responsibilities include conducting HVAC system selections, detailed designs, specifying mechanical equipment, reviewing submittals, and responding to RFIs.

Responsibilities

1. Design and Development: Creating mechanical designs considering budget constraints, deadlines, and resources.
2. HVAC System Expertise: Specifying and designing HVAC systems, including load calculations and compliance with codes like Title 24.
3. Equipment Selection: Choosing and specifying mechanical equipment and devices.
4. Documentation and Review: Creating project specifications, drawings, and documentation; reviewing submittals and shop drawings; responding to RFIs.
5. Testing and Analysis: Conducting tests to evaluate performance and identify improvements; collaborating with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
6. Quality Assurance: Implementing processes to ensure designs meet specifications and regulations.
7. Problem Solving: Addressing technical issues during design.
8. Communication: Reporting project status to senior staff.
9. Staying Current: Keeping up with advancements in mechanical engineering and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• PE Certification required
• 7-10 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Ability to read and understand designs and schematics
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
