Job summary

Remedy Robotics is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design key components of a life-saving robotic system for endovascular intervention. You will contribute across concept through production, generating specs, drawings, and interface documents while testing subsystems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industry and strong experience with electromechanical mechanisms, 3D modeling, and hands-on prototyping. Hybrid or on-site SF Bay Area work will be considered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Recent experience designing electromechanical mechanisms.
• Strong mechanical design, integration and mechanism analysis using 3D modeling (OnShape, SolidWorks).
• Ability to work with hand tools and prototyping equipment.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanisms for a surgical robot and single-use surgical tools.
• Participate in the entire design cycle from concept to production machines.
• Generate specifications, drawings, and interface control documents.
• Participate in subsystem testing with testing plans and data analysis.
• Rapidly design and produce proof-of-concept hardware for fast-moving projects.

Remedy Robotics is a medical technology company developing robotic systems for endovascular intervention. Its proprietary technology combines robotics, machine learning, and advanced computer vision to help physicians perform highly precise endovascular procedures and expand access to life-saving stroke and cardiovascular care. Initially focused on neurovascular intervention, Remedy is addressing the limited availability of specialized treatment for time-critical cardiovascular emergencies, with the long-term goal of enabling expert intervention regardless of patient location. We’re looking for a motivated, senior mechanical engineer to design key components of a novel, life saving surgical robot.

What You’ll Do:

• Design mechanisms for a surgical robot and single-use surgical tools.

• Participate in the entire design cycle, including the development of conceptual and detailed designs for prototypes, pilot machines, and production machines.

• Generate specifications, component drawings, assembly drawings, and interface control documents.

• Participate in subsystem level testing including the development and execution of testing plans as well as data collection and analysis.

• Leverage experience and engineering judgement to rapidly design and produceproof of concept hardware for fast-moving research and development projects.

You Have

• 5+ years of industry experience.

• Recent experience designing electromechanical mechanisms.

• Strong mechanical design,integration and mechanism analysisskills using 3D modeling(e.g., OnShape, Solidworks)

• Ability to work with hand tools and prototyping equipment.
