Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems LLC in Ripon, WI, seeks a senior Product Engineer to lead mechanical and electrical subsystem design from concept through production. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • At least 8 years of design/product engineering related experience.
  • Experience in the design and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, especially in sheet metal fabrication, injection molded plastics, castings, motors, belts, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Hands on contributor with strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support mechanical and electrical sub-systems and components.
  • Utilize 3D CAD (Creo) to design sheet metal, plastic, die cast, machined parts, and create assemblies.
  • Evaluate and test designs for manufacturability, automation, performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
  • Partner with a cross functional team, including communicating with and collecting input from a wide range of sources, to identify, design and improve existing designs.
  • Provide technical assistance for engineering & pilot builds.
  • Write, review, and improve product specifications, test procedures, and technical publications.
  • Release and maintain product bill of materials.
  • Support production as needed.
  • Assigned to teams to develop products from concept to production using structured qualification plans.

Overview

A key technical contributorto the Product Engineering group wholeadsthe design, development, and execution of projects that enhance manufacturability, quality, and customer satisfaction. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will play a vital role in bringing new laundry products to market while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives for our existing product line. You willbe responsible forengineering andvalidatingparts, assemblies, and systems, ensuring they meet cost, warranty, and performance targets.In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will also play a vital role in mentoring and guiding engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and support mechanical and electrical sub-systems and components.

Qualifications

Education& Experience:

  • Bachelor’sdegree inMechanicalEngineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology orotherrelevantfieldrequired.
  • At least8yearsof design/productengineering related experience
  • Experience in the design and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, especially in the areasofsheet metal fabrication,injectionmolded plastics,castings,motors,belts,andelectro-mechanical components.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a project team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on business priorities.
  • Competent with 3D modeling and drawing creation in Creo or other similar software.
  • Previousexperience in the applianceor similarindustry is desirable.
  • Hands oncontributorwith strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated abilityto translate complex problems using non-technical terms.
  • Work under minimal direction and guided by projectobjectives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including automation.
  • Good working knowledge of PC applications.(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Self-motivated withexcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability tooverseeand executesmall tomedium sizeprojects from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated passion for leading and mentoring other engineers

Travel:Approximately10%

Standard and Physical Requirements:

Position involved sittinglong periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
