Job summary

WRIGHT INDUSTRIES, LLC, located onsite in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. You will apply standard engineering practices, supervise others, and contribute to automation projects.

Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD) and a strong problem-solving mindset are essential, along with the ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience supervising others preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software required.

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques to conventional projects with few complex features.

Location Type: The position is onsite in Nashville, TN.

Travel Requirements: Travel up to 20%. Travel may include domestic and/or international customer, supplier, and JR Automation locations.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline, or an associate’s degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC) 5+ years’ work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)
  • Proficient in the application of standard and advanced engineering principles, practices, and procedures
  • Has sufficient knowledge to supervise others
  • Breadth and depth of experience to enterprise engineering problems
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish tasks
  • Able to quickly recognize and fix common engineering problems based on experience, including review and critique of others' work
  • Able to lead discipline specific teams and influence project direction and progress
  • Viewed as a technical expert in the department
  • May serve as a mentor/coach for developing engineers
  • Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
  • Travel required up to 20% including overnight and international
