Job summary

Wright Industries, LLC in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its automation team on onsite projects. You will apply your CAD expertise and leadership to design, analyze, and optimize custom automation systems for manufacturing clients.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, NX, and AutoCAD. Travel up to 20% is expected, with domestic and international destinations possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • 5+ years' work experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience with CAD software SolidWorks, Creo, NX and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to supervise others and lead discipline-specific teams.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline, or an associate's degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC)
  • 5+ years' work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)
  • Proficient in the application of standard and advanced engineering principles, practices, and procedures
  • Has sufficient knowledge to supervise others
  • Breadth and depth of experience to enterprise engineering problems
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish tasks
  • Able to quickly recognize and fix common engineering problems based on experience, including review and critique of others' work
  • Able to lead discipline specific teams and influence project direction and progress
  • Viewed as a technical expert in the department
  • May serve a mentor/coach for developing engineers
  • Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
