Job summary

The LiRo Group in Edison, NJ is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC system design for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities.

You will perform load calculations, energy modeling, and prepare detailed drawings and specifications while coordinating with architects and structural engineers. We expect a PE license and 10+ years of HVAC design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in HVAC design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, Word, Teams and HVAC design software (Trane Trace, HAP).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainable design practices.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring and project management skills.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare facilities.

  • Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure high standards of quality.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards and client requirements.
  • Interface with clients, attend project meetings, and present technical solutions.
  • Participate in project sales proposals and interviews.
  • Conduct site assessments and generate comprehensive technical reports.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare facilities. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment
  • Compensation: Minimum: $150,000: $170,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates’ qualifications and location.
