Job summary

DC Engineering in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer to support design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will develop construction documents, 3D models, and detailed drawings in collaboration with engineers and project managers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drafting/design experience, strong AutoCAD and Revit skills, and a collaborative, detail-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years mechanical drafting/design experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit experience strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing HVAC and plumbing construction documents.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction drawings, and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and sketches.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify HVAC and plumbing design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Create construction documents, plans, schedules, details, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers and other disciplines.
• Assist in maintaining drafting standards and quality control procedures.
• Incorporate design revisions and project updates into drawing packages.
• Support project teams in meeting deadlines and client expectations.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and collaborate across teams.
