Working across the full product lifecycle, you will drive innovation, improve machine performance, and help establish future engineering standards within a growing organization.

My client is a respected manufacturer of custom automated equipment serving critical production environments. The organization has built a reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and productivity for its customers. With a strong focus on product development and continuous improvement, the business invests heavily in modernizing equipment platforms and advancing automation capabilities. Engineers are encouraged to take ownership of projects, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to long-term product strategy. The company offers a hands-on, technically driven environment where innovation and practical problem-solving are highly valued.

Description

  • Develop innovative mechanical systems for automated packaging applications, including motion, sealing, product handling, and related functions.
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and complete technical documentation packages.
  • Drive standardization initiatives to improve manufacturability, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and material selection activities.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles throughout product development.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, controls, automation, manufacturing, quality, and service teams.
  • Lead technical reviews and provide guidance to less experienced engineering team members.
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, validation, and continuous product improvement activities.
  • Support factory testing, customer acceptance activities, and troubleshooting efforts when required.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of mechanical design experience within packaging machinery, automation, food processing equipment, or similar industrial sectors.
  • Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  • Proven knowledge of machine design, structural frames, pneumatics, and automation equipment.
  • Experience designing equipment for high-throughput manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of hygienic or sanitary design principles and food-grade material selection.
  • Familiarity with industry standards relating to food equipment design and washdown environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with testing, prototype development, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal design, and mechanical tolerancing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project collaboration skills.
Job Offer
