Job summary

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years in mechanical design, drafting, and testing of mechanical tools or systems.
• Experience with SolidWorks and 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of GD&T tolerancing methods and their proper application.
• Experience integrating pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical components into tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, production, product management, service, and repair teams to solve problems and develop world-class products.
• Support products through their full lifecycle, from quoting and design to manuals and customer support.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings and tolerance analyses per ASME Y14.5M using SolidWorks.
• Design and drafting of mechanical tools, fixtures, and machine components and subassemblies.
• Plan BOM structure, materials selection, and tolerances with manufacturing cost in mind.
• Design and specification of electromechanical systems (AC/DC motors, servo motors, solenoids, actuators).
• Design pneumatic and hydraulic systems with cylinders, actuators, valves, hoses, fittings.
• Maintain component information and BOMs in NetSuite ERP.
• Manage medium to large projects with limited direction and execute tasks to completion.
• Assist or lead proposals and risk analyses.
• Prototype and test designs in an R&D environment.
