Job summary

eightsleep is seeking an experienced Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical/product design engineering for V1 products from concept to production. You’ll take major ownership of decisions while being part of a mission-driven team in San Francisco that values innovation and career growth.

You will architect and design complex electromechanical systems, oversee designs through the development cycle, and collaborate to meet product goals. The role offers substantial responsibilities with a direct impact on product success and equitable compensation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of consumer product design experience with knowledge of injection molding.
• Solid understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes.
• Willingness and ability to travel to China as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own, architect, and design complex electromechanical systems.
• Drive designs across the entire development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams.

3D modeling (Solidworks, NX, Creo)
