Job summary

Dawar Consulting in Allentown, PA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer IV to design and develop complex electromechanical systems using Autodesk Inventor. The role involves creating detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will support prototype builds, transfer designs to manufacturing, and help drive product releases through design reviews, ECR/ECO processes, and adherence to GD&T and ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience using Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience in electromechanical enclosures and vacuum/gas systems.
• Hands-on prototype builds and manufacturing transfer.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings with Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare design reviews and technical documentation.
• Support prototype builds and supplier sourcing.
• Transfer designs to manufacturing and support product releases.
• Apply GD&T and select materials for cost and performance.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, QA, and supply chain.
• Maintain BOMs and engineering change records.
• Perform system integration and functional testing.
