Job summary

ONWARD SEARCH is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in the power distribution sector. The role focuses on leading product development from concept to detailed design, ensuring manufacturability and UL compliance.

You will mentor the mechanical design team, review drawings for quality, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 7+ years of design/manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with UL 891 and UL 50 product standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and DFM/DFA.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of power distribution products from concept to detailed design, ensuring manufacturability and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical design team, promoting best practices and standards.
• Review drawings and design documentation for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
