Job summary

Upchurch Companies is seeking a Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and client relationships while ensuring safety and quality across HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in mechanical or commercial construction, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 50%. Procore, Viewpoint, and BIM 360 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical or commercial construction.
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, or process piping scopes.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and mechanical specifications.
• Proficient with Procore, Viewpoint, BIM 360; MS Office; Bluebeam.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple commercial mechanical projects simultaneously.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project financials, forecast costs, and maintain profitability.
• Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, owners, engineers, and vendors.
• Coordinate with field supervisors to ensure execution aligns with plans and specs.
• Attend jobsite meetings and conduct project walkthroughs.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Mentor and support Assistant PMs and Project Engineers.
• Ensure timely close-out and turnover documentation.
