Job summary

FST Technical Services in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of large data-center projects. You will drive design reviews, functional testing, witness testing, and system validation to ensure reliability and performance.

This role demands deep HVACR/Mechanical/Electrical engineering expertise, field leadership, and the ability to coordinate with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in HVACR, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years' experience, or 3+ years commissioning.
• Data center experience required.
• Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle.
• Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validation.
• Manage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Evaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues.
• Review design documentation.
• Lead meetings and communicate findings.
• Build relationships with clients and contractors.
• Complete reports and manage time and expenses.
• Mentor junior engineers and support training.

• EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience

Travel Requirements

Travel to project sites as needed based on project demands.
