Job summary

East Baton Rouge Council on Aging seeks a dedicated meals delivery driver to serve homebound seniors in East Baton Rouge Parish. You will deliver meals, unload at homes and centers, assist with food prep as needed, and ensure the vehicle is clean and orderly throughout the route.

The role requires a valid drivers license and mandates adherence to the organization’s mission to enrich the lives of seniors through advocacy, service coordination, and program delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to homebound seniors and unload at assigned homes and designated centers.
• Load meals into the assigned delivery vehicle in a manner to ensure safe transportation of the meals.
• Assist in preparation and packaging of food as needed.
• Keeps assigned vehicle clean and orderly.
• Provide resource information to homebound seniors as required.
• Refers seniors in need to Nutrition Supervisor for follow-up by Information & Assistance Management Department staff.
