Zone 5 Technologies is seeking an experienced MDAO Lead to guide multidisciplinary design, analysis, and optimization across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and GNC. You will drive unified vehicle‑level trade studies for air‑launched effects and next‑gen munitions, mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years leading multidisciplinary design, analysis, and optimization.
• Experience taking MDAO efforts through to hardware on at least one program of record.
• Experience with multidisciplinary design optimization frameworks.
• Familiarity with CAD/CFD/FEA toolchains in a common workflow.
• Ability to obtain US DoD security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, analysis, and optimization efforts coupling aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and trajectory models.
• Establish shared MDAO methods, document procedures, and improve data consistency across programs.
• Develop automated workflows integrating CAD, CFD, FEA, and simulations into optimization loops.
• Maintain MDAO toolset architecture and governance across disciplines.
• Present findings at design reviews (PDR/CDR) and support capture efforts.
