Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer, MCA, to join our Fleet Innovation & Transformation team. You will work with engineers to evaluate requirements, verification, validation and implement MCA software releases for locomotives, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal disruption.

This role demands leadership, strong communication, and a track record in safety-critical or embedded controls, with field and factory installation support.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in a relevant engineering field with practical experience.
• Experience with safety-critical or embedded control systems is essential.
• Ability to estimate engineering effort for defined tasks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Execute MCA software revision/release scope with requirements, documentation, design review planning, verification and validation.
• Oversee MCA software release process to meet system-level requirements and validation testing.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans prior to release.
• Communicate program and project progress to all levels of the organization.
