Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Senior MBSE Systems Engineer to develop and test navigation models using MATLAB/Simulink, with strong data analysis and reporting of mathematical derivations. You’ll lead model-based development tasks and contribute to lab efforts on target products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a STEM field with 5+ years or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with at least five years of relevant experience, or an advanced STEM degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
Experience in MATLAB and Simulink.
Experience in code optimization and/or numerical stability.
Experience in the Systems Engineering discipline.
Ability to work onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Test and validate navigation algorithms and algorithmic models using MATLAB and Simulink.
Develop tools and test infrastructure needed to perform comprehensive model and algorithm testing.
Conduct analyses for system troubleshooting.
Improve code quality by performing code reviews and good software practices.
Analyze data using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques.
