Job summary

Mainspring Energy in the United States seeks a Senior Materials and Process Engineer to help scale production of the Linear Generator. You will lead independent process development and material validation for graphite components and tribological systems, collaborating with multiple teams across supply chain, quality, reliability, design and production.

The role requires MS in Materials Science/Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with MS +5 years or PhD +3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• MS in Materials Science/Engineering or Mechanical Engineering for senior level.
• Experience with graphite components and tribological systems.
• Strong data analysis and problem solving能力 (Matlab/Python).
• Ability to work across supply chain, quality, reliability, design and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent process development and material validation of graphite components and tribological systems in the Linear Generator.
• Collaborate with Materials and Engineering teams to characterize graphite properties and conduct validation tests.
• Create and optimize material and process specifications for graphite and mechanical components.
• Write specifications and control plans for graphite components.
• Participate in FMEA and support failure analysis across projects.
