Job summary

Advanced Energy in Denver, CO is seeking a Sr Materials Planner to lead NPI scheduling and release, coordinating with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Quality to ensure on-time product readiness.

The role focuses on planning and monitoring PDP stages, ensuring material availability, managing ECOs, and maintaining SAP BOMs while guiding junior planners in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to present ideas clearly in writing and in speech.
• Respond quickly, decisively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, design and program objectives.
• Excellent judgment and initiative to balance multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; multicultural experience a plus.
• MS Office skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the PDP.
• Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring availability of material to meet project schedules.
• Manages on-time-delivery goals of products by committed ship date.
• Resolves capacity, material constraints and other potential schedule interruptions.
• Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists for material control and issuance to ensure timely receipt of production material requirements.
• Manages and implements NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain BOMs in SAP.
• Manages the release of parts, modules, and/or units to appropriate department in production.
• Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and internal transfer orders.
