SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP is looking for a Sr. Materials Engineer for the Starship project in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in materials engineering and at least 5 years of experience. Responsibilities include designing and improving manufacturing processes, collaborating with engineers, and performing root cause investigations. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience in a materials engineering related role.
• Experience with tribological coatings, metal processing, casting, forging, brazing, welding, and heat treating.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy materials and process direction for propulsion systems.
• Increase reliability through material and process selection and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to solve complex material challenges.
