Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in materials science, polymers, or related discipline.
• Experience solving complex material‑related challenges in manufacturing or product development.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements (QMS, FDA, policies).
• Serve as primary technical resource for material selection, characterization and evaluation.
• Establish and maintain material standards, specifications and best practices.
• Design and execute material characterization studies to support engineering decisions.
• Lead material‑related root cause investigations and problem solving.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, quality and operations teams to resolve challenges.
• Partner with suppliers to evaluate, qualify and develop material solutions.
• Support risk assessments, validation activities and regulatory requirements as needed.
