Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with high-temperature materials experience.
• Minimum 5 years of deep research in materials engineering, preferably in energy, aerospace, or renewables.
• Strong publication and patent record with transitions from lab to application.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced research into high-temperature storage materials, optics, and heat engine components.
• Develop novel material compositions for the 1000°C+ operating environment.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and optical engineers on multi-physics problems.
• Drive material selection for Fresnel lenses and heat engine components.
• Mentor engineers, document protocols, and present findings to leadership and conferences.
• Lead cost-optimization while maintaining performance and scalability.
