TheProcess Development & Efficiency Section of the Materials and Process Engineering Department, is looking for a Materials Engineer to join our team in Andover, MA. This role is to support program process development, special process support, and production activities. A qualified candidate will have experience in evaluating materials and processes used within a product design and/or manufacturing. This position will offer a qualified candidate the opportunity to support material selections during design, development, and manufacturing of hardware, and support special process activities associated with a wide range of product applications. The role will involve evaluation of a variety of materials and validation and verification that materials and processes used on product to meet design and program requirements. Tasks will require critical thinking to solve challenging problems and careful attention to detail on procedures and documentation of results. Collaboration with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, subject matter experts, and suppliers is required.A candidate must be able to manage and coordinate a wide variety of simultaneous tasks within set schedule requirements.Travel, both domestic and international, expected to be up to approximately 25% of the time.
