Job summary

ProcessBarron is seeking a Material Handling Designer/Drafter to design and detail equipment for heavy industry projects across North America. You will work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams in Pelham, Alabama, using AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools, laser scanning, and drones.

Responsibilities include creating fabrication drawings, plant layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation, while supporting manufacturing, installation, and field inspections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drafting or design experience.
• Experience with fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Bonus points for Autodesk Inventor or other 3D CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail material handling equipment including conveyors, feeders, chutes, hoppers, silos, and bins.
• Create fabrication drawings, plant layouts, and equipment arrangements.
• Develop BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Support manufacturing, installation, and project execution activities.
• Participate in field measurements and equipment inspections as needed.
• Work with Engineering, Project Management, and Fabrication teams.
