You will own feed handlers, normalization, and distribution, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to advance Coinbase's institutional trading roadmap in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with low-latency systems.
• Hands-on experience in market data infrastructure (feed handlers, normalization, or distribution).
• Proficiency in Java or C++ and high-throughput messaging.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain market data components including feed handlers, normalization pipelines, distribution systems, and venue connectivity.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput services for real-time market data used by trading systems across the platform.
• Drive reliability and performance improvements through observability, on-call participation, and incident response.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to engineering standards on a lean team.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver market data capabilities that support Coinbase's institutional trading roadmap.
