Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Maritime Systems Engineer to support SOF-AT&L’s PEO-M program at MacDill AFB, Florida. The role involves engineering analysis, review of change proposals, and coordination with government stakeholders to ensure compliant, effective maritime systems for crewed and uncrewed platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant position experience.
• Citizenship: US citizen required.
• DAWIA Practitioner Equivalency (WAU Practitioner) in Engineering/PM or S&T fields preferred.
• Experience with maritime craft and sub-systems procurement, production, and fielding.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering analyses for agency processes and requirements.
• Review engineering change proposals, waivers, deviations, and nonconforming materials.
• Document and analyze results using advanced tools.
• Provide status inputs to leadership on programs and problems; propose resolutions.
• Support budget and project approvals; adjust efforts to meet emergencies and production needs.
• Evaluate programs and development plans against IACS, ABS, and DNV GL standards.
• Support contract modifications and cost proposals; assist in change order approvals.
• Deliver decision inputs for plans, specs, cost estimates, schedules, and studies.
• Surveil design, development, and production efforts and document performance indicators.
• Analyze trends to aid in management of agency performance indicators and lessons learned.
