Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an experienced Estimator for a leading marine services organization to support bid development, project costing, and business development activities. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing technical specifications, and coordinating with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure estimate precision.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in marine, shipbuilding, engineering, repair, or related industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project estimates, cost analyses, and bid proposals for marine and shipyard-related projects.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and schedule estimates.
• Complete proposals, bid summaries, and supporting documentation required for project submissions.
• Evaluate project requirements and identify risks, assumptions, and cost impacts.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
• Analyze project requirements and communicate special conditions impacting cost, schedule, or execution.
• Review engineering and construction information to support accurate project pricing.
• Ensure estimates align with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
