Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking an Engineer Diver II to join the Glen Mills, PA team.

The role blends underwater inspections with traditional civil/marine engineering design, requiring strong leadership in a multidisciplinary setting. You will perform on-site and underwater assessments of coastal structures, generate reports, and develop repair specifications while maintaining diving safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, or Ocean Engineering (ABET‑accredited preferred).
• 3+ years of waterfront or marine engineering design experience preferred.
• Commercial Diving Certification required.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with diving equipment, boats, sonar, and surveying tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwater inspections and coordinate with Lead Engineer Diver.
• Conduct topside and underwater inspections of piers, seawalls, bridges, dams, and other marine structures.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation from inspections.
• Develop repair plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with diving regulations and safety policies.
