GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to support the ramp-up of the Pluto Photon Counting Detector in a highly automated manufacturing environment. You will work on a cutting-edge product, troubleshoot challenges, and scale production from early runs to full manufacturing.

The role demands independence on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) with a 10% shift differential. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations; read production data and charts; maintain

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to support the production ramp-up of our newest imaging technology, the Pluto Photon Counting Detector. This role is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting‑edge product in a highly automated manufacturing environment where innovation, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement are key to success. The ideal candidate enjoys working hands‑on with advanced manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting production challenges, and helping scale new products from early production into full manufacturing. This position requires someone who can work independently on 2nd shift, communicate effectively across teams, and operate comfortably in an environment where processes continue to evolve and improve. This position is a 2nd shift role (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) and includes a 10% shift differential.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment used in the production of advanced medical imaging technology.
  • Support the successful ramp-up and ongoing production of GE HealthCare's next-generation Photon Counting Detector platform.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and production metrics to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Read and interpret production charts, data trends, specifications, and work instructions to identify and address manufacturing issues.
  • Perform routine equipment adjustments and corrective actions to maintain process stability and product quality.
  • Investigate equipment alarms, process deviations, and operational issues, escalating concerns as appropriate.Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and documentation in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to resolve production challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory procedures, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, technician, maintenance, or equipment support environment.
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, or supporting manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand production data, charts, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in Waukesha, WI on 2nd shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing systems or production equipment.
  • Electrical, electromechanical, or industrial equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI), manufacturing scale-up efforts, or pilot production environments.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, electronics, semiconductor, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and procedures continue to develop.
