Job summary

Defibtech in Branford, CT is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer to own and improve production tools, databases, and test station software used in the manufacture of medical devices. This role focuses on software design and maintenance to support new products, sustain current lines, and drive process improvements in production tooling.

The position is onsite with hybrid capability and requires collaboration across manufacturing, QA, and operations to ensure quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PC hardware, Windows OS, and peripherals.
• Experience in Manufacturing/Test support, embedded software, or SQL Server/Visual Basic/C#.
• Medical Device environment with ISO 13485 experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and updates production systems on-site and at contract manufacturers.
• Develops and maintains production tools and test interfaces for devices and equipment.
• Performs test station environment and database qualifications; supports validation testing.
• Leads cross-functional teams to transfer projects to manufacturing environments.
• Implements improvements in database and software development processes; supports new product rollouts.
• Documents changes through Change Control (ECR/ECO) and CAPA processes.
