Williams White, a division of Doerfer Companies, is seeking a Buyer to support manufacturing operations by sourcing materials, components, and outside services to meet production schedules.

The role requires 5+ years of procurement experience, strong cost-focused decision making, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing. On-site in a manufacturing environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Buyer or similar procurement role.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong ability to convey design concepts and make quality-focused, cost-based decisions.
• Time management: efficiently manage urgent production needs and deadlines.
• Vendor relations: build B2B partnerships for raw materials and tooling supplies.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials, metals, weldments, and manufactured components to support production schedules.
• Procure outside services including machining, fabrication, welding, heat treating, painting/coating, cutting, inspection, and freight/logistics.
