Job summary

The company in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead manufacturing operations for cleanroom processing and assembly with complex designs and advanced materials. You will develop pre- and post-processing technologies for the DLS platform and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in manufacturing, strong CAD design capability, and proven problem-solving and documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
  • 8+ years manufacturing experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools to design fixtures/tools.
  • Experience resolving production line issues with root cause analysis.
  • Ability to create technical documentation.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem solving; strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Participate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations in cleanroom processing and assembly building from development to production.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs and other manufacturing docs.
  • Design test fixtures and tooling for manufacturing/testing optimization.
  • Collaborate across Design, Systems, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Use data analysis to identify issues and drive root cause investigations.
  • Train technicians and engineers at in-house and CM sites.
  • Organize workflows and ensure procedures meet safety and environmental regulations.

the company is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team of talented engineers in our Sunnyvale, CA office. The ideal candidate shall develop pre-and-post processing technologies to expand the company's DLS platform and Window. He/She shall drive technical and process solutions to help our customers to grow their businesses efficiently and economically, leveraging economies of scale and driving new technology adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations related to cleanroom processing and building of assemblies with complex mechanical designs and advanced material properties from the development phase through ongoing production.
  • Create and maintain WI’s, SOP’s and other relevant manufacturing documentation
  • Design test fixtures and tooling for manufacturing and testing optimization.
  • Participate in new process/product development activities & drive collaboration across cross functional teams (Design, Systems, Production, Quality, Supply Chain)
  • Use data analysis to identify manufacturing issues and drive root cause investigation and solutions.
  • Train technicians and engineers (in-house and at CM sites) in new and existing processes.
  • Organize manufacturing workflows and ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of work experience in manufacturing environments (not including internships) with demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment and adjust/manage workload based upon changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability using CAD tools to design fixtures/tools.
  • Demonstrated ability resolving production line down issues and non-conformances using standard root cause analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to use statistical tools in data analysis and problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

At the company, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining salary. The compensation bracket for this position is $119,200 - 178,800 (per year). In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $149,000 taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role. If you are not based in our Sunnyvale office, the range above will be adjusted for the geographical differential associated with your actual work location.
