Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Senior Supervisor Operations in Fitchburg, MA to lead the day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring safe, high-quality operations and efficient use of resources to meet customer and financial goals. You will develop team members, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement while supporting new product introductions.

The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application.
• Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of an assigned manufacturing area.
• Ensure product/service quality through proper utilization of resources and adherence to standards.
• Supervise in accordance with policies and laws.
• Lead issue resolution with root-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Monitor and improve internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Maintain area safety and compliance with company standards.
• Hire, mentor, and evaluate team members.
• Assist in budgeting and financial objective attainment.
• Coordinate recruitment and career development as needed.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Support company mission, values, and culture.
• Participate in internal or external customer meetings.
• Contribute to special projects and New Product Introductions.
