Job summary

Calqulate, a Buffalo-based manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies, seeks an Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead the manufacturing engineering team and drive production readiness, reliability, quality, and throughput.

You will engage in process development, tooling, work instructions, and day-to-day problem solving to keep production flowing.

Qualifications

• Leads a manufacturing engineering team to improve readiness, reliability, quality and throughput.
• Controls day-to-day engineering activities while driving long-term improvements.
• Supports production issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Balances production support with employee development and project work.
• Communicates with design engineering to ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workload planning for manufacturing engineering team to support production and new product introduction.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, routings, standard work, assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead the transition of new or revised products into repeatable production processes with appropriate documentation and training.
• Provide technical support for production problems and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify and implement improvements in cycle time, labor utilization, first-pass yield, scrap, and rework.
• Partner with design engineering to review manufacturability and resolve production constraints before product release.
• Support equipment selection, capital project justification, installation, and process validation.
• Coach engineers and technicians, maintain process documentation, and reinforce safe work practices and quality requirements.
