Webasto Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Supervisor) to lead a team of engineers and maintenance professionals in Lexington, KY. The role focuses on driving performance through process optimization, reliability improvements, and cross-functional collaboration within an automotive-oriented manufacturing environment.

The position requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, automation, PLC/HMI knowledge, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects from conception

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
5–7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance, preferably automotive.
Proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, PLCs/HMIs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance professionals.
Drive manufacturing performance through process optimization, equipment reliability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support production operations by ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintenance strategies, and technical problem resolution.
Lead new product launches, capital projects, equipment installations, and production readiness activities.
Monitor and analyze KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, uptime, and maintenance performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing standards, preventive maintenance programs, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and audit expectations while supporting employee training and development.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks

Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management for up to 7 direct reports
Drive manufacturing performance through process optimization, equipment reliability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support production operations by ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintenance strategies, and technical problem resolution
Lead new product launches, capital projects, equipment installations, and production readiness activities

This is what you bring to us

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
5-7+ years of manufacturing and/or maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
Previous supervisory experience leading engineers, technicians, or maintenance personnel, with a demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, PLCs/HMIs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive operational and business results through cross-functional collaboration
