Job summary

Everestsearchpartners in Kewanee, Illinois, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help lead growth and transformation in its premium steel and aluminum end-dump trailer fabrication operations.

This senior role requires about 50% hands-on shop floor work and 50% leading capital projects from start to finish, owning CI initiatives across fabrication, welding, paint, and final assembly, and reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in heavy fabrication manufacturing or process engineering.
• Proven CI/Lean program leadership with quantified improvements.
• Experience on the shop floor and capital-project management.
• Experience in trailer/heavy equipment fabrication preferred.
• ERP/MRP fluency with routings, BOMs, standard costing.
• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication and assembly.
• Own capital projects from justification through installation and validation.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and standard times.
• Collaborate with design to support DFM for new trailers.
• Provide technical leadership and develop bills of process.
