Shield AI in Dallas, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support fabrication and assembly of advanced composite airframes for next‑generation aircraft. You will design tools and fixtures, document work instructions, and optimize manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aircraft manufacturing or tooling design, CAD proficiency (CATIA V5 / NX / SolidWorks), GD&T/metrology knowledge, and experience with automated assembly systems. Experience with AS9100/NADCAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and validate assembly tools and fixtures.
• Define work instructions, SOPs, and process flows.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams.
• Use CAD to design tooling and perform analysis.
• Conduct RCCA to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and MIL-STD standards.
